Alma Derricks is an
accomplished media
strategist, programmer, and producer with expertise designing and
launching innovative, cross-platform media ventures that capitalize
on brand strengths and create expansive new marketplace
opportunities.
Drawing on a unique
combination of broadcast, cable, print, licensing, advertising, and
new media experience, she has lead digital expansion initiatives
for a range of internationally acclaimed media & entertainment
franchises including Star Trek, Entertainment Tonight,
Dilbert, and Peanuts. Uniquely skilled at managing
creative, business, and technology issues, Alma has held a series of
ground-breaking consultative and senior management positions at
Paramount, United Media, Scient, the Los Angeles Times, Comcast, and
HBO.
A sought-after speaker and moderator, Alma has spoken nationally on branding,
digital media convergence, and bridging the creative-business-technology divide
including a keynote address at COMDEX and a White House roundtable
on new economy entrepreneurship. She is a graduate of
Stanford University and holds an MBA from Georgetown University. |
